My work is grounded in the psychology of C.G. Jung. I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in depth psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. This includes specialized training working with dreams, as well as comprehensive clinical skills in individual, adolescent, marital and family therapy. I also have specialized training working with victims of sexual abuse. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington state working under supervision towards LMHC licensure.
I see my work as helping clients regain their health and restore their connection to the Self. I help clients cope with a wide variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety, anger, divorce, depression, life crises, aging, career launching, relationships, empty nesting, women's issues, leaving home, initiations, transitions, parenting, grieving, death & dying, sexuality, sexual abuse, low self esteem, feelings of despair, and lack of connection to others. I see it as my mission to provide affordable counseling to those around me and to assist clients in adapting creatively to the changes we are facing in this economic downturn.
Bilingual in English & French, I have twenty five years experience in cross cultural, expatriate and repatriation issues. I am passionate about Jungian-oriented psychotherapy as well as creative and spiritual issues. I also have a BSN degree in Nursing from Loretto Heights/Regis College in Denver.
Before obtaining my counseling degree, my professional experience included pre and post-natal counseling, nursing, international business, expatriate and cross-cultural counseling, pastoral care, international networking and relocation, and tobacco control advocacy.
Married to Philippe for thirty-four years, we have four daughters and one son in-law.
My practice is located downtown on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
